Using a kettle on the hob

Hi

I'm totally new to ranges and trying to grapple with all the accessories I seem to have acquired with our second hand range. The plumber has been and we now have gas, it's an absolute delight, I can't tell you!!! I have a classique hob on my Lancanche Macon and I'm wondering on often I shall ever use my huge hob in the middle, the wok hob of 18,000 BTUs.

Could I use a kettle on this particular hob or would it be better to use a different hob?
