The Forum Guide

We welcome you to visit our online forum, which includes posts from primarily North American Lacanche owners and cooking enthusiasts. Lacanche ranges have proven to be a powerful catalyst for bringing people back to home and kitchen. We are not a Q&A Forum for self-proclaimed "experts". Our aim is for normal folks to simply share their questions, observations and knowledge. More importantly, we hope to celebrate the truly good things in life: family, friendships, community... and food! If you are a Lacanche owner and wish to contribute to the forum, click here to start the registration process.

The forum members you're about to meet tend to be excited about the healthful and restorative properties of what French society calls gastronomy, i.e. "the art or science of good eating". Many Lacanche owners are accomplished home chefs and have invaluable experiences to share. An equal or larger number of us are simply eager to refine our culinary skills and discover tools of the trade.

France's 2000-year love affair with table fare seems perfectly poised to offer a peaceful respite from the demands of a fast-paced life. French families revere dinnertime as almost sacred. Eating and cooking together is an important interlude - set apart from the daily grind - and a chance to connect with cherished loved ones. Perhaps reciprocity, or valuing different cultures and their unique contributions, will help heal wounds caused by blind ambition and hyper competitiveness.

The participation here of Art Culinaire staff members who personally own Lacanche ranges will be limited to personal and anecdotal observations only. We are joining you as friends and hope to not only share our insights, but learn from you, as well! A product is only as good as the people behind it, and we are committed - as a good friend - to sticking with you through thick and thin. So read on, post often, and let's do some serious cooking!
